The Environmental Policy at Arbortech
Tree Specialists Ltd is to ensure that our activities maximise
all opportunities for environmental enhancement and minimise any
potential environmental impacts. By achieving these objectives
we are complying with the statutory regulations (BS EN ISO14001)
for the preservation of the environment.

UKWAS
We strive to be at the forefront of
Arboricultural management techniques by delivering the benefits
of a thoroughly professional approach. We fully supported the
introduction, in 1998, of the UK Forestry Standard.
Waste Management
We are registered with the Environment
Agency as Certified Waste Carriers and currently hold a
Certificate of Registration under the Control of Pollution
(Amendment) Act 1989.
Health & Safety
It is the policy of this business to
provide a safe and healthy environment and to promote Health and
Safety procedures as a mutual objective for management and
operatives, so far as is reasonably practicable.

Training
Arbortech strive to keep their employees
trained to the highest of standards. Below are some of the
organisations who help keep their team at the forefront of their
careers.
NPTC is the largest nationally recognised
awarding body within the land based sector. The NPTC train
Arbortech in the use of chainsaws, tree climbing, wood chipping,
stump grinding, mobile elevated work platforms. Other training
courses include Competence in Forest Machinery Operations,
Pesticides and Chapter 8 Signing, Lighting and Guarding for
Traffic Management, which Arbortech are very proud of.

Lantra is the Sector skills council for
environmental and land-based industries and works with 17
industries across the whole of the UK. They provide Arbortech
with training in the use of All Terrain Vehicles.

The International Powered Access
Federation (IPAF) promotes the safe and effective use of powered
access worldwide. They are used in Training in Mobile work
platforms tracked, self propelled and truck mounted machines.

Due to the high risk in the industry
Abortech put their employees through first aid training with ABC
